Freeman Family Farm

Serving as an anchor within Pittsburgh’s Manchester neighborhood, the Freedom Family Farmstore at 1426 Juniata Street is the City of Pittsburgh’s first and only brick-and-mortar farm store. The 1,866 GSF live/work building thoughtfully integrates a community-focused farm store at the ground floor with a two-bedroom, two-bathroom residence above; creating a compact model for combining local food access, housing, and community connection within a single urban infill project.
